Earlier this month I wrote a post featuring some of my all time favourite summer items from the site Gamiss, and as you can see above I did end up ordering some the dresses I wrote about. More specifically did i order the super cute off-shoulder mini dress that you can see me wearing in the pictures both above and below, and this long bohemian front slit dress, that I will also be posting some pictures off in a couple of days. The off-shoulder mini dress are super comfy and very summer appropriate, but it also fits perfectly into the summer’s biggest trends.

Not only does the dress in itself feature two huge trends, in that it is both off-shoulder and floral, but I have on top of that today chosen to pair it with two other huge trends.

Floral Dresses

In January I wrote a post on one of the winter’s biggest trends, which at that time were winter flowers. This trend consisted of darker floral prints, something which more than anything were brought to us by Gucci. The floral trend have now moved with us into the summer season, where the trend itself have also moved from the more darker tones of floral fabrics and to a more summer appropriate colour scheme.

I honestly have lost all track of how many times I have been writing about the off-shoulder trend, but it is also a trend that have been going strong for over two years now and it still doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. In fact the trend only seems to be growing bigger, and I don’t see it evolving any other way than staying the ultimate trump trend for the rest of the year.

If you yourself are looking to purchase an off-shoulder dress for the warmer summer days, I especially like the blue striped dress from Boohoo and the white dress from ASOS that you can find here below.

The off-shoulder and floral print trends of course are not the only trends we have seen this summer. Both white sneakers and wearing a leatherjacket on top of a summer dress have also both been very popular go-to’s for all the biggest fashionistas during the the last couple of weeks.

Wearing a Leather Jacket on top of a Summer Dress

Okay, so this trend literally have the longest tittle ever, but it is definitely worth mentioning. Leather jackets are and have always been a classic, and somewhat of a little black dress for jackets, it is therefore also difficult to call it a trend, since it isn’t something that are ever not cool to wear. However, it is this summer super used amongst the many fashionistas and celebrities around the world to pair the leather jacket with a summer dress, or a flowy skirt.

White sneakers

White sneakers have made a habit of become an absolute must-have every single summer, and it is therefore also a bit of a stretch to call a trend since it, like the leather jacket, never really becomes outdated. As all of you who have been following the blog, or following me on Instagram, for a longer time know, I have always been a huge fan of wearing white sneakers with everything, both summer and winter. This haven’t changed, and I can’t anything but recommend white sneakers as the perfect stable piece for your wardrobe.

As mentioned, the dress I am wearing in these pictures are from Gamiss, but if this exact dress is not you, it is also worth mentioning that they currently are offering tons of super cute 1950’s dresses.
