I have now successfully finished a whole semester at university abroad. In honer of all the amazingness that is uni life, I decided to write a little list of things I learned during my first semester at uni.

  • That meal prepping it definitely worth it
  • How to read 50 pages on economics at 2am and still make it to an 9am lecture
  • That no-one makes biscuits (and desserts in general) like the British
  • How to do laundry without shrieking half the clothes
  • That ‘bollocks’ in English have a million different meanings, and that english slang is basically created to confuse foreigners
  • Making vegetarian lasagne
  • How to pack for 2 weeks in a carry on
  • Statistical math on software
  • That 75% of the stuff high-school teachers tell you about university is a gross exaggeration
  • Grocery shopping for a whole week using only £15
  • That surviving the exam period in university is 25% focus, 25% dedication and 50% eating takeout every night
