Nobody wants to look cheap, however, it is not everybody who can afford to be expensive. I here give you five tricks to always look high end.
The true point
As mentioned in a previous post pointed shoes are amazing at making your legs seem miles long and adding a little extra centimerters to your silhuet, but this is not the only thing that pointed shoes are good for. They are also great at making an outfit appear more put together and more high-end.
Lipsticks, are a great way to amp up your look and add a little extra style and colour to an otherwise blah outfit. Furthermore, lipstick are a great way to seem just a tiny bit more expensive. Of course lipstick can also have the opposite effect if you wear a neon pink or purple one, but there is just something about a clean red lip that screams Paris at midnight. Be it a strong red or a more muted bordeaux.
Sunglasses are definitely my personal go-to when it comes to quickly adding a little extra attitude to your outfit. The shades not only are great for covering the black bags under your eyes in the morning, but they also just have a very mysteries way of making your outfit about 100% more chic.
Drop the metal
No fake metal! No shiny metal! No buckles! I can not possible make this clear enough. Unless you can actually afford to buy expensive belts, bags and shoes you have to steer away form all the shiny materials as this is often a sure way to make it obvious that the item was a budget-buy. This means that you should NEVER go for boots with tons of buckles on them. Bags with chains are also a no go. Keep it simple. Simple is always classy, and although you outfit might become boring if you go too simple, it is always better to be too simple than too cheap.
Simple jewellery such as minimalistic fingerrings, small earrings and thin one string necklaces are great for making your outfit look just a little bit more high end. The simplicity will create an elegance you will not find in chunky accessories, and having a small yet noticeable decoration along your colorbone, wrist, fingers or ears will elevate your outfit remarkably.
